Job Summary: As the HR Associate, you will assist other HR team members with the daily functions of the Human Resources department which include employee relations with a bilingual (English & Spanish) workforce, hiring, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, payroll, health and safety and other compliance training, and enforcement of company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists other HR team members with the completion of recurring and ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Handles inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assists with temp worker logistics as needed.
  • Provides support during the candidate interview and selection process (e.g., may conduct initial phone-screens, corresponds with candidates and hiring managers to set up interviews, etc.)
  • Processes drug and background screening and employment verifications.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding tasks.
  • Coordinates employee recognition events, tracks attendance, and follows up with participants or leadership as needed.
  • Distributes HR communications/announcements in English and Spanish.
  • Helps compile and maintain personnel and medical records.
  • May assist with processing payroll for 250+ non-exempt and exempt employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Spanish language fluency is highly desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS
  • An Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience is highly preferred

Pay Rate (depending on qualifications and experience): $23 - $26 per hour
